Who we are
Christingle: a candle on a hill.
Christingle means an enlightened candle on top of the hill, symbolising Christ as the light of the world. It is who we long to be in Thohoyandou: a church that shines the light of Jesus so brightly that it cannot be hidden.
The ministry was formed in 2006 as a fellowship of believers from different ministries. It began with five families and has grown into the church family that gathers in Tshiulungoma today.

Our leadership
Shepherds with a heart for people.
Pastor K. J. Neluvhalani leads Christingle Fellowship Centre with a heart for teaching the Word, building families and caring for the community. Under his leadership the church has grown from five families in 2006 to the church family that fills Tshiulungoma every Sunday.

Evangelise
We carry the gospel into our community and the world.

We prepare every believer for the work of ministry.

Educate
We teach the whole counsel of God’s Word.

Edify
We build one another up and care for the needy.
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

- 2006
Five families
The church started with five families meeting in each other’s homes on a rotating basis every Sunday for three to four months, before moving to the Pastor’s shop near Thohoyandou centre. Towards the end of 2006 the church moved to Thohoyandou Arts and Culture, where it met until 2008.
- 2009
Indoor Sports Centre
The growing congregation moved to the Indoor Sports Centre.
- 2010–2014
Thohoyandou Town Hall
The church met at Thohoyandou Town Hall, with Thohoyandou Technical High School as an alternative venue.
- 2015
A permanent home
On 15 February 2015 the church moved to Block S, Tshiulungoma, its permanent venue.

A celebration of two decades of God’s grace, faithfulness and unfailing love.

God
We believe in one God, creator of all things, who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, was buried and was resurrected. He ascended into heaven, from where He will return to judge both the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His ongoing ministry, by whose indwelling the Christian is empowered to live a godly life and be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

Humanity and salvation
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, and that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. God freely offers salvation to all who repent of their sin and place their faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ.

The ordinances
We believe that Jesus Christ established believer’s baptism by immersion, as well as the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion), as ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age.
